Celebrating 30 Years of Voices for Independence

Voices for Independence is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) designated, charitable organization that was created in December of 1993. As we enter our 30th year of proudly serving individuals with disabilities in our community, we look to you for your help in celebrating this milestone anniversary. With your support, Voices for Independence can ensure that our next 30 years are even more fulfilling– by making a difference in the lives of more people than ever before. Your contribution is greatly appreciated and will aid us in our ongoing efforts to empower people with disabilities and promote independent living for everyone.

Donations like yours directly impact services such as Nursing Home Transition or Home Modifications, which allow individuals to leave a nursing facility and re-enter an independent living setting with proper supports, or remain at home with increased accessibility to ensure that they are able to continue living independently, respectively. When you give to Voices for Independence, you are actively assisting in our efforts to help individuals with disabilities maintain an independent lifestyle. Your tax-deductible donations of any kind are always truly appreciated both by Voices for Independence and by those we serve.

Donation of Time or Services

We are also grateful for all in-kind gifts of time, services, and expertise. Let us know the nature of your non-cash donation, and we will endeavor to put it to good use for the people we serve. A good example of such a donation is the labor, materials, and expertise involved in building ramps or making home modifications to make homes accessible. We are also always in need of someone who can help us teach individuals with disabilities important life skills as they ease into an independent living setting, such as cooking, crafting, math, or computer skills.

Volunteers are always welcome at Voices for Independence. If you are able to give your time for periodic events and fundraisers, please contact our Donations group for more details.
